So, after the kit arrived on Saturday, here’s the first impression!  LEPIN 23012 Tatra 813 Trial Truck

The kit came in a “replacement packaging”, but with beautifully printed instructions including a printed flyer with corrections to the instructions. A little later …

There were many many bags with parts in it. Looking closer, there were more bags. At second glance, the bags were even numbered. So first everything dumped and sorted. It was noticed that on some bags were numbers Edding on it, other bags had small stickers with numbers, others were printed, and on a few is nothing at all …

After the bags were all sorted, it went directly to the factory. All bags with the number 1 cut open and dumped. Thanks to the instructions, the building is quick and easy.

The first and second construction phase, all 8 wheel suspensions ran without problems and was completed after about 3 hours. All moving parts are very smooth. Nothing is stuck, nothing falls apart. The parts are absolutely comparable to those of Le..g0.

Because things went so well, Sontag dared lunch directly at Section 3 ran. And after another 2.5h was already Section 4 (gearbox with engines) completed. During the subsequent test run, I was reminded that something is wrong. So in the evening sat down again and looked at the whole thing in more detail. And yes, there is still a mistake in the manual. Suddenly and unexpectedly, a cogwheel appears on a picture, which was not there before but was never mentioned anywhere. So everything again apart, and again new, not a punishment only for practice, but also that was done after 2 hours …

So now I arrived at the bags with the 5 on it, maybe  LEPIN 23012 Tatra 813 Trial Truck goes on tonight …

First conclusion: LEPIN 23012 Tatra  quality very good, instructions invite you to think along, is great fun! Pictures may come a little later …
