This is the LEPIN 05039 – Red Five X-wing Starfighter Real Reviews from our lovely customer nickname Ralf Wulf at Germany.
I’ll try a review for the X-Wing.
The review is divided into the following areas:
- Order and shipping
Instructions, stickers, and stones
finished model and conclusion
And now it starts:
I ordered on 27.12.16 at GGAM toy Trading Co., Ltd. for € 63.16 (without Store Coupon € 64.13 / USD 65.99).
Shipped on the 15th delivered on 17.1.17 by DHL Express to Vienna.
By the way, currently, the set is available from about € 63, -.
A few days after ordering an ePacket tracking number was entered.
But this was changed in the actual shipping to a working DHL number.
Was delivered in a DHL bag, which was well sealed.
In the DHL bag, the actual set was contained in transparent plastic, and wrapped with several layers of bubble wrap.
The manual was included.
Instructions, stickers, and parts
The tutorial seems to be a compressed Lego version.
I compared the first third of the setup instructions and found no deviation.
The instructions have hardly suffered from the transport, a little bent – but definitely still very nice.
In the instructions, the stickers were enclosed.
The print is very nice, but I will presumably re-order reprints from the originals, let’s see.
In total there were 37 bags of stones, as well as 2 weapon holders and a stone cutter.
All bags were numbered, there was no Zip-Loc bag!
The stones are not sorted by construction progress, but by groups of stones (all small plates, all long plates, all long stones, all large plates/stones, etc …).
This time, I just opened all the bags, emptied into a separate cup, I wanted to build, and not sort before …
Before construction began, it looked like this:
So far, I have not been able to detect a missed casting, even the cockpit screen is only slightly scratched, a bit milky but definitely usable!
All stones clean, not scratched, and of the usual high quality.
And now it goes on to build:
70 % des Models geschafft. The current state of affairs, I have about half done 70% of the model. So far just over 4 hours of construction (without unpacking parts, take pictures, and compare instructions).
As mentioned above, during the setup I always compared the instructions of Lego and Lepin at the same time, so far no deviation can be determined.
The cockpit disc closes firmly and flush, the mechanism for opening and closing the wings works smoothly (currently, at least, the wings are not yet built).
So far no missing parts!
Here are a few photos I made during the construction:
Next in the next post!
